The “SpinZone” Pas3x ….Fun on a Saturday

Pictured is a Pas3x that I have been doing some tweaks on for a customer. I have built a new power supply, added a few “designer” audio caps..some magic “Tubeology” dust .. sounds darn good..I needed a distraction from the everyday service work.. so its a Lazy Saturday project and I’m spin’n vinyl .. remember that?.. Let me tell you its refreshing the sound is much more real then digital.

He up for sale just as we received it. This was in dry and unused storage for ?.. decades as far as I can tell, some tubes are original McIntosh, this is very clean for its age. This model was produced from 1951 – 1955 a total of 3068 units were produced. This one carries the S/N number of 2717 the Early McIntosh logos are clean and bright with no damage. I’m going to take bids, it is sold as is I have not powered it up. I wish for the buyer to have first chance at an untouched classic. I’m mean classic this is the second model series that McIntosh ever produced…….        bids start at $ 1500.00  email me with your offer. Just to mention how rare this is, it is only the second one I have seen in 30 years !!

A “Repeat Offender” a good thing….

Dave has become another member of the select crazed audio club here on Classic Tube Audio. Pictured his latest “Super Sub” project. MORE POWER … in his own words: “On the side I’ve been working on a “Tuba HT” horn sub-woofer with plans purchased from http://www.billfitzmaurice.com/.  It’s finally nearing completion!  It’s quite monstrous measuring 36x36x24 but having La Scalas and A-7′s in the house, I’ve successfully conditioned my folks to be accepting of large speakers. Dave I think your parents my be relocating you after you fire this up!… Pat~
