I have a MC2105 and MX113 that I would like to know if you can look at them. One chanel is starting to crackel and I am suspecting a bad capacitor. Are you interested?
I am about to buy Martin Logan Maosaic speakers, 5 amp. I have reel to reel tape deck. I want a great/affordable tube amp to drive those speakers. I have found a new Cinese Music Angel with upgraded tubes for $400. Do you have anything to recommend in your inventory?
Hi Steven,
I’m familiar with the Logan’s you are looking to purchase, they are very nice speakers and not to bad a load to drive with an amplifier of tube type. If you are not seeking high volume levels a tube amp of about 25 watts a channel will do it. I also have listened to the Music Angel amplifiers, they are not bad for amps from overseas.. the power and output transformers are a little weak, but you can get some top performace out of them with a few circuit mods and some additional higher quality caps. As far as amps I would have, right now I’m finishing up a Fisher X-101-B they are very good sounding amps and use the very solid 7591 output tubes, this being an integated amp design you can use a tape deck and turntable too. it runs at about 22 watts a channel. I will be asking $ 475.00..
Thanks fro your interest in my services. You have asked some very good questions about amp and speaker compatability
